The Garage maintains primarily Facilities Services vehicles and equipment.
The Garage also provides:
Services such as gasoline, oil, engine tune-up, and tire repair for other university-owned vehicles, funded by the department requesting service.
Brake tag inspection for other departments on request. The department must provide the title by March 1 each year.
Air for bicycle and auto tires
If a battery is dead or the driver is locked out of his car, call Public Safety, 504-865-5381. For non-emergency service, please see How to Request Special Service.
For emergency service, please see How to Request Emergency Service. Any University-owned vehicles can request emergency service for flat tires, out of gas, or towing services. Payment can be made by Interdepartmental Order.
Facilities Services does not rent vehicles as a U-Drive-It service. Department desiring transporting of items or special pick-up services at the airport, for example, must place a request as described in How to Request Special Service.
