Electricity, Steam (Heat, Hot Water),
and Chilled Water (Air Conditioning)

The Utilities Division:

  • Operates and maintains the central plant, which generates electricity, steam and chilled water for heating and cooling of most campus buildings.
  • Establishes and supervises preventive maintenance schedules for all utility systems
  • Manages utility cost and consumption calculations, payment of utility bills, and billings to other departments
  • Schedules heating and cooling for special events and seasonal changeovers
