Facilities Services A&E will estimate the cost of all construction and renovations specified on a Facilities Services Request Form and expected to be greater than $2,500. Estimates will fully describe all components of construction in keeping with an established or acceptable format. Estimates are mandatory for all projects expected to exceed $5,000 and may be requested by a Budget Head for A&E projects expected to cost between $2,500 and $5,000. Most projects are completed on a the basis of Time and Materials. All A&E projects will be automatically encumbered at the estimated amount, but final billing will be at actual project expense.
After the estimate is completed, the Facilities Services Request Form will be forwarded to the budget head for approval. All projects estimated to exceed $5,000 will be done on a Time and Materials basis.
All requests for estimates will include a 6% Architectural and Engineering fee. |
